Voice Agents
Create and configure AI voice agents that speak your customers' languages.
Creating a voice agent
Voice agents are created entirely through the Lucy dashboard. No coding, no API keys, no terminal. Just configure and deploy.
1
Create a new agent
In the dashboard, click Create Agent and select Voice Agent. Give it a name that describes its purpose, like "Customer Support" or "Sales Assistant".
2
Choose a language
Select the primary language your agent will speak. Lucy speaks your customers' languages, 100+ of them, from Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, and Tigrinya to English, Arabic, Swahili, and beyond. See Supported Languages for the full list.
3
Set the greeting
Write the first message customers hear when your agent answers. This sets the tone for the conversation. For example, in Amharic: ሰላም! እንዴት ልረዳዎት? (Hello! How can I help you?)
4
Define behavior
Describe how your agent should behave: formal and professional, friendly and casual, or sales-oriented. You can also set specific instructions like "always ask for the customer's name first" or "never discuss pricing without manager approval."
5
Connect tools (optional)
Enable tools so your agent can take actions during conversations: look up orders, check account balances, create support tickets, or book appointments.
Languages and voices
Lucy voice agents speak your customers' languages, 100+ of them. With native fluency in Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, and Tigrinya and support for languages from Arabic to Yoruba, Lucy understands the grammar, context, and cultural nuances of the languages it speaks. See Supported Languages for the full list.
Agents automatically detect when a caller switches languages mid-conversation and respond in kind.
Deploying your agent
Once configured, go to Channels in the dashboard and choose where your voice agent goes live. You can connect it to a phone number, add it to your website, or link it to messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram.
