Getting Started
How to request access and set up your first agent, all from the Lucy dashboard.
This guide walks you through getting onto Lucy and deploying your first agent. Lucy is provided to businesses through a guided onboarding, so the first step is requesting access. After that, everything is done from the dashboard. No code or technical setup required.
Access is request-based
You can't sign up on your own. Request access by booking a demo and our team will get you set up with a workspace.
Build your first agent
1
Request access
Tell us about your use case by booking a demo or reaching out through our contact page. Our team will review your request, provision your workspace, and share your login details.
2
Sign in to your workspace
Once we've granted you access, sign in to the Lucy dashboard with the credentials we provide. You'll land on your workspace where you can manage all your agents.
3
Choose your agent type
Click Create Agent and choose what you want to build:
- Voice Agent: answers phone calls and speaks naturally in your customers' languages.
- Chatbot: handles text conversations on websites, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
- Knowledge Base: upload documents and let your agent answer from your own content.
4
Configure your agent
Give your agent a name, select the language it should speak, and write a greeting message. You can also set its behavior, for example whether it should be formal, friendly, or sales-focused.
5
Add knowledge (optional)
If you want your agent to answer from your own documents, upload PDFs, web pages, or text files in the Knowledge Base tab. Lucy automatically processes and indexes your content.
6
Deploy to a channel
Go to Channels and pick where your agent should go live. You can:
- Add it to your website as a chat widget.
- Connect it to a WhatsApp Business number.
- Link it to a Telegram bot.
- Embed it on your WordPress site.
7
Go live and test
Once connected, your agent is live. Test it by sending a message or making a call through the channel you selected. You can monitor conversations and improve your agent from the dashboard.
That's it!
You now have a working agent. Next, give it a knowledge base so it can answer from your own content with accuracy.
Next steps
- Configure voice agents in depth: language, voice, and behavior settings.
- Add the web assistant to your website.
- Connect to WhatsApp so customers can reach you there.
- See the languages Lucy supports.
